This time we wanted to do something really special for Emma. And because she’ll turn seventeen soon and aged 17 she’ll be allowed to make her driving license we decided to do something to help her with learning how to drive.
The idea was to make a video which shows her all necessary basics to start practicing and a folder to give her many useful information on cars and on driving.
The video was done by Tom J.S., our sites Representative, using his Volkswagen Jetta to demonstrate Emma how she can start to practice driving. The video was filmed and cut by David Z. Unfortunately it wasn’t possible to include more people in this part of the project. The drivers Ed just prepares a person to the situation on the road, so most people who make their drivers Ed leave it without having a real idea of how to treat a car correctly.
And indeed, many young drivers cause fatal accidents, most times because they over estimate themselves, but because of bad skills in handling the car as well.
So Emma got a folder as well, with many useful information for her. And this was the part where you Users were able to help us, you had the opportunity to write us, what in your eyes should be included in this folder.
All in all, after September, October and November were quite stressy, because there was only time on the weekends to film, and then just a few hours because it became dark earlier from week to week. And aside from filming there the folder had to be finished as well. The whole project was finished on November, 22nd 2006. The next day Tom J.S. sent the video and the folder to the Leavesden Studios and exactly 14 days later he received a reply. Unfortunately it wasn’t written by Emma herself, but we hope that the project will somehow manage it’s way to Emma.
Hopefully it will help her to get good driving skills and to give her a wide knowledge on cars, so that she’ll become a safe driver who has fun with driving.
