HP and the DA: Monster from the bricks

Chapter 11
Monster from the bricks

Everything was black and silent. His hands were twirled hard around something, he could not remember what was going on. His back was on constant pain and his forehead again was giving a burning sensation. He brought his hands up from the ground trying to reach the pain in his head. He forced his eyes that gave away and opened slowly. He had a wand in his hand, not the one he owned but still something told him not to lose it. He slowly got to his feet. The ground was too odd to remain asleep. As he took a sight, he found himself in a desert of odd surroundings that he could never even dream of. Houses were fallen and some half standing like skeletons. Huge clouds blocked the sky that refused to show itself. The whole place was filled with broken down houses, one after another, bricks wandering all around. Some huge structures were still standing with cracked support. Every second step was a brick, all dark colored and cracked. It was a garden of spoiled grass, long, repeating and haunting.

‘A deserted place, unfriendly sun and untrusted wand -what better can there be?’ Harry still knew he had to survive. Still he wanted to convince himself,’ It must be a nightmare; a bad dream that always that i always face. No wonder if it’s long and real, all bad dreams are.’

Suddenly he felt something strange, the air want cool and the silent bricks gave way to deeper one’s. The air went dead touching the cracking ground but the clouds did not feel any resistance, they still were dark, dense and moving with a haunted smile. He moved his eyes trying to find the possible culprit of the nature. He still felt the silence.

Thud.

He looked to the way from where the sound broke the silence, it came from the broken bell tower. Then came a woofing sound making the cracks in the bricks go deeper. Silence moment, again came a woofing bang in the ground, time and another, followed by more. He felt if someone was striking the ground with huge hammer, with every shake the weird bricks fell from the various houses making them shorter and filling every little space in the way between the houses. The ground kept on shacking with and a sound and a rhyme as if someone huge was walking, making the mother earth tremble. Harry tried to keep his heartbeat steady but then the rhyme became faster, stronger that the ground could bear it no longer. Harry felt his beats going with pace, his blood flowing faster, more bricks trembling, structures breaking to close to the ground. Harry still kept calm and wandered around with his eyes into to the huge ruins of akdaa’s village. The ground kept on shacking but his glasses that was covered with dark reddish bricks showed him nothing. Then breaking the ground appeared a creature from behind the tower that almost leaned to the ground. The monstrous creature was charging towards him forcing the bricks to settle in the ground forever. His huge eyes could be seen from the distance, his front legs were short and rear longer, his tail swinging all around making the houses on both sides rest in peace and pieces to the last ground. His head resembled a alligator, he was larger any creature he had seen, not even the book of ancient creatures of creek monster academy that Hermione had forced him to have a look.

Harry now had his eyes wide open, glasses on dust, hand with a useless wand, legs on trembling ground with bricks. He could think of nothing, not even a spell that he was not suppose to use with the wand. Confused, he ran into the most complicated pattern of structures hoping the monster would loose him. He saw a small wooden cabin like shattered place, half sunk into the ground, thinking the wooden piece would hardly be noticed with the huge hungry eyes he ran into it. He sat in a corner trying to squeeze him from being seen. The ground still trembled. The wood all around him was rotten and covered with brick dust. The footsteps carried on. Harry looked through a small crack, the monster was still catching the distance, after some moments the creature appeared, he slowed down and stooped where Harry waked up. He was across four houses from Harry. The monster touched the ground with his mouth, raised it and walked away slowly. Harry felt light. The monster was gone but not forever, he knew he had to get away. He looked around through every crack he could find. He planned to run into the houses in the opposite direction from the monsters way. He got on foot and got out of the wooden cabin. He felt strange again, the air was warm. What so ever he knew he had to hide out so he decided to take a good look around that would be clearer than that from the cracks. He turned around and found the fear onto him. The warm air directly being exhaled at him from just a step away by the monster that had bend his neck to Harry’s face. The Huge smelly monster eyes now facing the scar and the eyes behind the dust covered glasses with a satisfaction of hunger.
